自2020年3月新冠疫情爆发开始就负责领导本省抗疫的省首席卫生官Bonnie Henry获颁BC勋章。Henry表示对获得此殊荣非常感动，又感谢与其一起经历漫长而艰难抗疫旅程的团队及省民的支持与出色表现，希望继续以善意及同情心一起度过疫情风暴。

新冠疫情期间，Dr Henry以制定成功的防疫措施获得肯定，一共召开了200多次简报会为省民通报疫情咨询亦留下深刻印象，其后她为本省制定的疫苗接种计划更被赞誉为世界上最好的疫苗计划之一。
省长贺谨祝贺Dr Henry，感谢她以专业知识带领本省度过疫情。
过往已经有475名省民获得过BC勋章，而今年一共有257名省民获提名，最后有16人获得本省最高荣誉BC勋章，除Bonnie Henry外还有前西门菲沙大学校长Andrew Petter，原住民部族Tsilhqotin酋长Joe Alphonse等等。
